An Old Kind of Adventure Gaming Magazine

Welcome. What I plan to do here is share high-density information, amateur research, and opinion on 1970s-style adventure gaming.

Dungeon Blaster's chief purpose is educational. What I hear from people is there just isn't enough information on how to actually play these games. "How do you start? How do you draw a good dungeon? How do you place treasure? How do you run a multi-year campaign? Where did you even learn all this stuff? What language is Tékumel? Who's Arduin?" I'm going to help improve that situation.

I also intend to publish:

  • Rules, table tools for referees and other players, and entire adventure scenarios.
  • Updates on other projects like Demon Idol.
  • Other "gameable" content – meaning stuff you can directly apply to a game.

I'll be occasionally tying posts with the new YouTube channel, DungeonBlasterTV, which I will post videos on soon. I see some of you have already subscribed. Welcome!

If you're curious about my old, inactive blog, Caltrops for Breakfast: I'll be posting revised versions of those posts here on Dungeon Blaster. There's some advice I'd change or present differently today.
